Ubisoft has a lot of amazing titles launching at the last stretch of 2020. Perhaps the biggest is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which launches this November at around the same time at the next generation of consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches on Nov. 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. New-gen versions come shortly after. With the release date drawing closer and closer, fans are longing for more details about the game. Now, a new story trailer dives deep into the Viking’s goals and what happens before the game.
Behind the action
The new story trailer focuses on Eivor and his brother Sigurd. As per the duo, they are hoping to find a new home in the nation of England. This is basically their purpose as to why the Vikings are going to be invading the land in the game. While the trailer didn’t dive deep exactly into the story, we at least know Eivor’s goals.
Beyond that, the trailer also showcased some of the factions and foes standing in the player’s way. Some of these might eventually become allies.
By the end of the trailer, Ubisoft teases a mysterious group called the Hidden Ones. They will most likely serve as the main antagonist of the upcoming title. It’s likely that they will be supporting the kingdoms that Eivor hopes to conquer in England. Some players speculate that they are a group of assassins too.
Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a unity of many features from previous titles. It will have some RPG elements like the last entry. Moreover, it will also reintroduce more stealth mechanics like the original games. Mixing in the old with the new in the series might just do the game well.
There are many other interesting new features too. For instance, players will be able to partake in biking rap battles and drinking games. There are more minigames to the title that players will be spending their time on.
In terms of side quests, the developers have revealed that they’ve decided to do away with it. Instead, there will be world quests to keep players busy.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launching later this year, and fans have a lot to be excited about in the Viking epic. The recent story trailer showed off more of the assassins in the game. We can expect to see more teases from the developer as the release date draws near.
