The ROG Phone 3 finally goes on sale, two weeks after its global unveiling.
One of the most sought-after releases in 2020 is the ROG Phone 3. And when it finally debuted on July 22, the phone was indeed a game-changer (no pun here). Alas, the phone is yet to go on sale in any market it was launched to.
Until now.
A few tidbits
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 can now be availed on Giztop for only USD 699. The retailer’s page on the handset also revealed a few tidbits about the item alongside its pricing. Accordingly, the said phone is in Chinese edition but still offers Google Play Store.
Additionally, the retailer noted that the phone supports English and Chinese. The handset’s support for numerous network bands was also mentioned.
Giztop also managed to include the device’s key features and specifications, which we are no longer privy of.
But just to keep you in the loop, let’s refresh what you’d be getting should you not hold your water and grab one anyway.
ASUS ROG Phone 3 specifications
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The phone’s display is also noted for its inclusion of a high 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and in-display fingerprint scanner. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and Gorilla Glass 3 on its rear.
Around the back, the phone employs a triple-camera setup, headlined by a 64-megapixel wide camera, with auxiliary sensors such as the 13MP ultra-wide angle lens and the 5MP macro module. There is also a large 24MP selfie shooter.
Still the spec king in the mobile industry
Powering the mobile gaming powerhouse is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ chipset, which also features Adreno 650 GPU. It has 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5 of RAM tiers and 128GB/256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage options. The phone is also listed with a massive 6,000mAh battery, with support for 30W fast wired charging.
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 is also king yet again for its gaming-oriented add-ons. The device boasts ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 3, grip press, RGB logo on its rear, RGB illuminator LED placed next to its flash, dual 7-magnet front-facing speakers, and Hi-Res audio output.
Other key features of the phone include the optional Dual SIM support, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, side port, and USB Type-C.
The ROG Phone 3 runs on ROG UI based on the latest Android 10.
