ASUS is making its upcoming flagship series more accessible to its consumers.
Ahead of its imminent launch on August 26, the ASUS ZenFone 7 series’ pricing details have finally been leaked. Courtesy of noted leakster Roland Quandt, the new development revealed that the lineup’s 6GB/128GB variant is set to be priced at EUR 499. If this pans out, the series will have one of the most inexpensive smartphones in the segment powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or SD865+.
Quandt also outed the ZenFone 7’s 8GB/256GB edition, which might arrive with a price tag of EUR 549. Also, a revelation in his tweet was the series’ battery capacity, which is tipped to be at 5,000mAh.
Hours after the pricing details of the ZenFone 7 series were outed, its official teaser also made rounds. The 6-second clip that was tweeted by the German arm of ASUS showed the front of the device, which is rendered plain and doesn’t feature a notch or a cutout.
ASUS seemed to have done a perfect job of trimming its bezels as they look virtually non-existent. Meanwhile, it is speculated that the Taiwanese tech giant might be shipping the same nano Edge Display it employed on the ZenFone 6 with its successors.
Right towards the end of the clip, the video revealed the words “Flip Deine Welt,” which translated to “Flip Your World,” indicating that the device will have flip cameras. Note that the original tweet has #FlipDeineWelt as well.
On the other hand, the official ASUS global account posted a slightly modified version of the clip. The caption now went “get ready to defy ordinary” and “#Zenfone7is coming soon.” Interestingly, the company also made use of #DefyOrdinary when it marketed the ZenFone 6.
Unlike most of its compatriots in its class, ASUS may have mastered the art of being tight-lipped in terms of trickling down details surrounding the key features and specifications of the ZenFone 7 series.
As it stands, the details are still as elusive. Still, it is expected that the two phones from the series will be powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or SD865+. Both the ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro are also en route to carry over the motorized flip camera from their predecessor. The accompanying camera setup might also house four sensors.
