Before Attack on Titan Season 4 and Chapter 135 drop, Funimation unveiled Attack on Titan: Chronicle.
The network is now streaming the compilation movie, Attack on Titan: Chronicle, so fans can look back to the time it was only starting. The film is now available for viewing for fans who are living outside of Japan.
A recap movie
Fans continuously support the franchise despite the many twists and turns of the plotline. It has shown a lot of heart-breaking moments, not to mention killed off some of the most fan-favorite characters.
Despite these things, viewers remain watching and reading the series. Now that both of the anime and manga are about to come to an end, it is maybe the perfect time to do a recap movie.
Funimation’s official Twitter account revealed Attack on Titan: Chronicle was made available for streaming on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Fans can watch the movie with English dub or subtitles on the network, per Epic Dope.
Viewers from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland can see this film, thanks to the network’s collaboration with Kodansha.
The movie, which summarized the series’ first three seasons, premiered in Japan theaters in July for only a limited time. Now, international fans can see this recap film.
Anime series’ premiere
Attack on Titan Season 1 was first out in April 2013, while it took four years before Season 2 premiered in the same month in 2017.
Fortunately, fans only had to wait for more than a year to see Attack on Titan Season 3, while its second half was out in 2019. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu streamed the anime’s latest episodes as it aired in Japan, Anime News Network noted.
Now, fans are waiting for the coming of Attack on Titan Season 4, which will be handled by a new studio, MAPPA. It is set to be out on Monday, Dec. 7, which will be seen on Funimation with English subtitles and dub as well.
Manga series’ start
The Attack on Titan legacy began when its creator, Hajime Isayama, launched the manga on Kodansha’s Bessastsu Shonen Magazine in 2009. Now, it is on its 32nd volume, which was published on Sept. 9.
Kodansha Comics, on the other hand, also publishes the manga in English in both digital form and print.
Now, the manga will also come to a close. So, Isayama gave everyone a glimpse of its rough layout draft for its final panel. He even teased that it is just one to two percent away from completion.
