Talks about Attack on Titan Season 4 are now ongoing, and there are rumors it will be a split-cour just like the previous season.
Netflix Japan is teasing there will be two parts of Attack on Titan Season 4, after including Part 1 to its title. By the looks of it, it seems to imply that the new season will have a second part.
A final season divided into two cours
According to Monsters and Critics, there have been hints that the final season will have two cours.
Sound director Masafumi Mima seemed to accidentally reveal in a tweet the Attack on Titan “Final Season Part 1” folder.
At the time, he was working on the anime’s sound work and shared a photo of his desk.
“I’ve received a letter from director Yuuichirou Hayashi about the song selection in the first and second episode of Attack on Titan,” he said. “Based on the director’s polite response, I will have to rework, but it’s also fun work.”
“I wonder if I will reach the director’s soul this time?” he continued. “The sound work of Attack on Titan is in progress!”
However, when fans noticed his snap, he quickly deleted his post.
Add to that the Netflix Japan screenshot that there would be Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 1, it might be safe to assume that the final season would indeed have two parts.
If this is true, then the total number of the show’s episodes may be longer than usual.
New casts and roles
Meanwhile, there are only four days away before Attack on Titan Season 4 finally drops.
With that, the franchise has been teasing what’s to come to hype the fourth installment even more.
Comicbook noted there would be new warriors coming, making their first appearances in the upcoming new episodes.
In the new still preview circulating online, there are two major additions to the show, Gabi and Falco.
The kids will be seen in the middle of a big war between Eldia and Marley. Despite their young age, they are set to play more prominent roles.
With the new roles, of course, there will also be new casts. Ayane will join the series as Gabi, Natsuki Hanae as Falco, Manami Numakura as Pieck, and Toshiki Masuda as Porco.
Also, Ayumu Murase will join the series as Udo, Yumi Kawashima as Zofia, and Masaya Matsukaze as Colt.
