Attack on Titan season 4 returns for the last time. Moreover, Crunchyroll and FUNimation reveal the fourth installment’s official synopsis.
Attack of Titan season 4 will finally return to the small screens on December 7, 2020, and will mark the end of Eren Yeager’s adventures. The announcement came through the Japanese broadcaster NHK. Aside from that, Crunchyroll and FUNimation also announced that the show is accessible via its streaming platforms in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Mexico, and Brazil.
Attack on Titan is adapted from the best-selling manga series of Hajime Isayama. The manga adaptation features the last of the human race struggle to survive the man-eating rampage of the titans.

The series follows the adventures of Eren Yeager and his friends. Their quest is to avenge the death of their families and loved ones from the titans. They set out to join the Survey Corp., an elite group of soldiers specifically trained to fight the titans.
To recall, season 3 sent Eren and the rest of the Survey Corp to a whole new world outside the wall. Much to their surprise, they are not the only humans who exist. But, across the sea is another civilization, the nation of Marley.
The season 4 synopsis revealed
The fourth and final installment is going to be action-packed, with MAPPA taking on the production helm. Throughout the years, the series has several ups and downs in terms of its production. Owing to that were long waits between seasons.

In season 4, the heroes will cross the seas in their eternal search for answers to the mysteries that envelope the titans. The fans will see a whole new array of titans and the superpowers they possess. Season 4 will also explore the spin-off of the rivalry between Eren and Zeke.
Zeke is the former captain of Marley’s Army, whose sole mission is to destroy Eren’s citadel. Furthermore, Zeke possesses the power of the Armoured Titan, Cart Titan, and Jaw Titan. Speculations point out that the fourth installment is yet to unveil an epic battle between Eren’s team and that of Zeke’s.
The official synopsis stated:
“With Eren and company now at the shoreline and the threat of Marley looming, what’s next for the Scouts and their quest to unravel the mysteries of the Titans, humanity, and more?”

Though not confirmed, it is rumored that the fourth and final installment will be released in two parts – the first part airing in December 2020. The second part to be released in January 2021. Avid fans are to expect 24 episodes in this season. Season 4 also sees some members of the old cast reprising their roles.
