Attack on Titan Season 4 is coming in less than a couple of weeks, so fans are now preparing to see the big final battle. However, with the new studio, MAPPA, what change viewers are about to see.
Attack on Titan Season 4 is about to have an extreme makeover. Now that Wit Studio is out of the picture, will it affect the final season?
The changes in aesthetic quality
The fourth installment will still have the veteran screenwriter Hiroyuki Sawano, but its primary staff will be relatively new.
There will be a new director, character designer, and almost everyone who works for the visual look. With this, what will be the changes fans are about to see?
According to Anime News Network, Season 4’s first promotional video will be different for the old-time Attack on Titan fans.
The distinctive look of the thick outlines around the character art, Kyoji Asano’s famous design, is now gone.
The time skip between the final season and the Season 3 finale made the characters looked different. So, the new character design might not pass for the manga readers.
In addition, the lack of extended 3D maneuvering scenes is quite noticeable. As this seems to be the representation of Attack on Titan’s action scenes, its absence is a huge change.
Although it cannot be denied that the PV remains to be good, it looks like it is not as good enough as the old one.
However, fans should be reminded the teaser is not yet the final look or quality of Attack on Titan Season 4.
But, as early as now, the aesthetic differences are quite evident.
