Attack on Titan Season 4 is about to drop its last few episodes and its staff and crew are now working on the second part of the series.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 is now in the works, preparing for its big premiere as part of the winter anime season. The anime series’ sound director Masafumi Mima drops a major update about the show that teases its upcoming release.
Preparation for the Show’s Return
Mima shared some snaps of the behind-the-scenes works for Hajime Isayama’s animated series.
Here, he gave a glimpse of the dubbing works of the voice actor Yuki Kaji, recording the lines of the protagonist, Eren Yeager.
“A scene from the dubbing of Attack on Titan,” he wrote in the caption. “In order to respond to the director Hayashi’s direction, Yuki Kaji, who plays the role of Ellen.”
Mima admitted they were working on trial and error, as Kaji worked either “sitting and acting or standing and acting.”
“Everyone is convinced and it’s really hard to move forward,” the tweet continued. “Thank you! Stay tuned for the broadcast “
Comicbook noted Mima had been overseeing other cast members of Attack on Titan Season 4 as they record.
Kaji, alternatively, has been playing the role of Eren since the anime began in 2013. By the looks of it, the pressure is now on, not just on the anime’s cast members but also on its staff and crew.

Second Part Release Date and Other Details
The final season hit the small screen on Dec. 7, 2020. It ran for three months with 16 episodes, ending in March.
The anime ended just in time for its manga version’s conclusion in the April. At the time, everyone thought the anime would officially close with Episode 16, per SlashFilm.
Thankfully, just before it dropped, the coming of the final half-season was announced. The series’ official Twitter handle then confirmed the news.
It has been a usual thing for the anime to the lengthy waiting game between the seasons’ two cours.
In fact, the same thing happened in the third season, when its first cour ended in October 2018, while the second cour did not come until April 2019.
There was also some worried when the anime changed its studio from Wit Studios to MAPPA.
Sure, there was a difference in animation styles, but it could not be denied that MAPPA remained faithful to its source material.
Anyhow, the long wait will be over as Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 will be out in January 2022 worldwide.
