Larian Studios surprised fans this week as the Early Access of Baldur’s Gate 3 will also be available for Mac users.
This year, the developers have also teased D&D fans that this early access title will have hours worth of content.

However, there is a catch—the game is over 150GB for both Windows and Mac. This game size is at par with Call of Duty: Warzone, which has over 100GB of required storage space.
Larian Studios also announced in their forum that they would be rolling out Larian Accounts that will grant the users access to Larian services across all platforms.
They also mentioned that cross-play multiplayer between future platforms would also be possible with the Larian account. Still, it won’t be available on the first day of Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access.
Mac requirements seem to be more demanding
Aside from its massive storage requirement, the game needs to run in a 64-bit processor and operating system for both Windows and Mac as well as a minimum of 8GB of RAM.
While the Windows version only requires you to have at least an Intel Core i5 processor, the Mac version needs to have a 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor.
The Mac version can run the game with Intel Iris Plus Graphics for the graphics card but expect toned down details when you try to play it on your machine.
You will need a 2.3GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 and AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB to run the game in full detail for the recommended specs. This is more demanding compared to the Windows version that only needs an Intel Core i7.
They also included in their notes that you will need at least a MacBook Pro 15 inch 2016 or 13 inches 2018 to run the game.
