‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ to miss the August deadline

Baldur's Gate 3 to miss August deadline

Baldur’s Gate 3 early access is supposedly arriving this August. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the game’s release.

Last June, Larian CEO Swen Vincke stated that Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to launch this month. But, it seems like the developers are struggling to meet their deadline.

According to Larian Studios, the game’s early access is just “right around the corner.” However, the progress is not enough to warrant an August release.

There is good news for the fans, nonetheless. Larian Studios tweeted that there is some big news coming on August 18. The new launch date will also be revealed then.

It is worth the wait

The original Baldur’s Gate and its sequel are two of the best role-playing games created. Thus, the upcoming third game is highly anticipated.

It follows a whole new story set in the Forgotten Realms. The main antagonists are the mind flayers. Larian has teased that there will be a lot of surprises in the game. This includes customization options and a whole new range of weapons.

Baldur's Gate 3 is based on Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition

Besides, it is based on the Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition ruleset. Just think of a board game but treated with the latest game technology.

Baldur’s Gate 3 delayed-release might have disappointed excited fans. But, save that excitement for the upcoming Larian live show. There might be more surprises coming in.
