Before moving to the White House, the 14-year-old had an entire flood dedicated to himself.
While speaking with People shortly after his birth, Melania Trump revealed that her son’s floor at the Trump Tower has a fully functional living room, kitchen, maid’s quarters and more.
However, after Donald Trump became president in 2016, Melania and Barron had to relocate to the White House with him.
Melania decided to stay in New York for a few months since Barron was still in school back then.
When they finally moved to the White House, Town & Country described Barron’s bedroom as a downgrade from the entire floor that he used to have.
Other than his luxurious home, not much has been written about Barron. In fact, Donald and Melania rarely talk about their only son during their interviews.
On some occasions, Barron joins his parents on their outings. However, he rarely stops for photos and interviews since he’s a minor.
Melania is especially protective of her teenage son. Last year, she lashed out at a professor for mentioning Barron’s name during the POTUS’s impeachment proceedings.
Pamela Karlan mentioned Barron in an analogy to make an argument regarding the differences between a president and a king.
“The Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the President can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron,” Karlan said.
On her Twitter account, the FLOTUS fired back at Karlan.
“A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering and using a child to do it,” Melania wrote.
Karlan immediately apologized to the first lady after learning that she offended her.
Earlier this month, the president also shared a rare detail about his youngest son. He called Barron a genius because he’s good with computers.
Donald revealed how Barron would ask him to leave his room whenever he would come and say hello. This is because the teenager is usually playing on his computer.
The exchange between the father and son usually ends with the POTUS reminding Barron that he’s the president so he demands respect.
