Before its awaited debut, Battlefield 2042 was touted as a competitor to CoD Vanguard. However, now it seems like it’s not the case at all.
Battlefield 2042 needs to up its own game right now, as per the current state of reviews on Steam’s website. According to reports, EA and DICE’s recently released game is currently the eighth badly rated title on Steam.
‘Battlefield 2042’ getting poor reviews on Steam
Just a few days after its anticipated launch on November 19, the game has found itself on an unwanted list. It is the eighth worst-rated video game on Steam.
The situation might become even pathetic for Battlefield 2042 if the developing team fails to resolve major issues.
Battlefield 2042 has been getting poor reviews so far from the players since it first opened the beta phases. Players who purchased the Gold and Ultimate Editions are not happy with it. Plus, its rating on Steam is only dropping down since the launch.
On Metacritic, the most reputed review portal, Battlefield 2042, has a score of 72, based on 45 critic reviews, as of this writing. However, the user rating is miserable at 2.3 out of 10, based on 3193 user reviews at the time writing this article.
The same is the situation with the PS5, PS4, and Xbox versions as well. Players have given it poor reactions due to the technical glitches and more problems.
Other review websites even advised potential buyers not to purchase it until there is a new bug-fixing update in the coming weeks.
Battlefield 2042 team has promised to bring major improvements soon for the action game. They will most probably address the gameplay and teleporting issues with the game’s servers.
Hopefully, fans will soon get a good and playable Battlefield installment.
Upcoming games of 2021
Elsewhere in the gaming arena, there are multiple other titles set to make their way soon before the end of 2021.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Vanguard and Playground’s Forza Horizon 5 are out already. Interestingly, however, the latter recently failed to enter the nominations list for Game of the Year award by The Game Awards.
Moreover, surprises like Deathloop and Back 4 Blood are also there. They have impressed the gamers a lot. Deathloop is even nominated for Game of the Year honor in this year’s The Game Awards. The event will take place next month.
Coming back to Battlefield 2042, again, it is now available worldwide for platforms like PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
