There’s a piece of unfortunate news for Battlefield 2042 fans who were waiting for its debut next month. Now the game has witnessed a delay!
While the rumors were already floating across the internet regarding a delay, DICE just confirmed it officially. The Battlefield 2042 team shared the news that the next major entry in the series will launch a month later, in November.

This year has already seen multiple delays since its beginning. Many awaited titles will now make their way either next year or even beyond.
And now Battlefield 2042 is the newest entry to join the “delayed squad.”
However, the only positive thing about the latest update is that it won’t move into 2022 at all. The next Battlefield will launch in November instead of its previous arriving window of October.
While citing Coronavirus as the driving factor causing the delay, DICE mentioned on Twitter that Battlefield 2042 will now release two months later.
The dev team was previously hoping to operate in an office instead of working remotely. However, it didn’t happen due to the pandemic and the problematic situations. Thus, the game is also witnessing a delay because of the entire circumstances.
On the other hand, changing the date might be a boon for the EA offers because October is already a full month with lots of big AAA games. To name a few, there is Far Cry 6, Mario Party, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and many more!
Thus, the launch of Battlefield 2042 in November may result in attracting more players. So it will also see increased sales as well.
More new games launching in 2021
While fans of the Battlefield series will have to wait for the next entry, they can still opt for new releases next month.
In terms of options, there are tons of choices available for die-hard gaming lovers.
Speaking of the most-awaited titles, then there is Halo Infinite, New World, Dying Light 2, and Shadow Warrior 3.
Activision and Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Vanguard is also launching later this year. And without any doubt, it will once again have the attention of all gaming buffs, just like its predecessors, in the iconic first-person shooting franchise.
Vanguard will mainly focus on the multiplayer aspect and online modes with a new competition called Champion Hill.
Coming back to Battlefield 2042, then it will now release on November 19. Players will get it on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
