The much-awaited Battlefield Mobile has now showed up on the Google Play Store, with the listing showing promo screenshots for the upcoming title from DICE.
A listing for Battlefield Mobile is now available on the Google Play Store, showing full information and game features. While the listing does not offer more than a store entry, it seems a bit early for it to be there. EA developer DICE said the game is due in 2022.
New listing complete with screenshot
In the listing, the game so far has new screenshots and promo images for the title. The game promises a few new features, which includes “unique classes with exclusive heroes” and “large-scale battles, large-scale destruction.”
“You and your crew will press the assault on maps and modes both new and familiar to veteran players”, said the description.
“Build a loadout of authentic weapons and game-changing gadgets. Fight for control of powerful vehicles like tanks and ATVs. Destroy the field of battle with large-scale environmental destruction. Combat abilities are always growing and at scale, granting you the capacity for mass warfare.
“Across all game modes, you’ll experience the same wild situations and explosive spectacles Battlefield is famous for. Whether it’s outrunning a collapsing tower on your ATV, parachuting off a building while firing a rocket launcher, or burying your enemies under the rubble of a building you destroyed with your tank, every match is unforgettable.”
DICE plans to launch game 2022
So far, the upcoming Battlefield Mobile is looking good, with far fewer stripped-down features compared to its counterparts. The game itself has four classes so far – Assault, Recon, Support, and Medic. From these four classes, players can then customize their loadouts much further, from weapons to class-specific gadgets.
Earlier this year, DICE confirmed the existence of the game itself, noting at the time that they’re targeting 2022 as their date of launch.
“It’s always been our vision to bring Battlefield to more platforms,” noted Oskar Gabrielson, DICE general manager in a statement back in April. “So, after years of prototyping, I’m super happy to be able to let you know that our friends at Industrial Toys, working closely with all of us here at DICE, are developing a completely new Battlefield game bringing all-out warfare to smartphones and tablets in 2022.”
From the words of Gabrielson, the game will use a beta system to test the game first. Battlefield Mobile may also soft launch in other countries, especially in Asian countries where mobile titles are some of the biggest games available.
