It might come as a surprise, but even the developers behind a brand new model in Battlefield 2042 have no idea of its full potential!
Simply put, devs at Ripple Effect don’t know how far the Battlefield Portal will go in terms of its massive scale in Battlefield 2042.
‘Battlefield 2042’ new mode: What to expect?
In a recent media interaction, the Ripple Effect GM said that they don’t even know “the limitations of what the system can do.”
“Battlefield Portal” is a new mode set to make its appearance in Battlefield 2042. It’s a tool that allows the users to create their custom modes inside the game.
While talking to The Gamer, Ripple Effect’s Christian Grass discussed the upcoming Portal feature.
He said that Portal allows players to make their modes for seven maps. And those iconic maps are from past Battlefield entries.
Inside this Portal mode, players can tweak their overall count, vehicles, weapons, and more. Not just that, they can even make the upcoming title’s Specialists go against German WW2 troops!
What’s interesting about this mode is that you can make your own very powerful single character. And then you can pit against the 127 other opponents during a match.
Christian Grass remained clueless in many aspects while talking about the “Battlefield Portal,” which is quite surprising to learn. It implies that the team hasn’t tested the full potential of this mode.
However, it will be fascinating for the players when they eventually begin their multiplayer campaigns.
