Bella Hadid calls out, gives ‘middle finger’ to NYPD cops

Bella Hadid has now returned to New York City.

The 23-year-old model, Bella Hadid, recently made into the headlines following her shocking posts on social media. Based on the photos, she was calling out the NYPD cops, who were at a distance from her, for not wearing masks.

After spending most of the quarantine period in her mother’s home in Pennsylvania, she has now returned to the Big Apple, according to Page Six. Despite sharing her eagerness to return to work, she did not like what she saw going back to the city.

Bella Hadid called out NYPD cops on social media

Taking the photos to her Instagram account, Bella Hadid shared two images on the platform, featuring the New York’s Finest. In the first post, it showed her, turning her face toward three uniformed cops. She was wearing a black mask. Meanwhile, the cops were at the other side of the street. But, they did not have any face covering.

Hadid captioned the post, “U guys look goofy,” and complained to “wear a mask.” Using the same font feature, the model posted another photo, showing her, giving the “middle finger” to five uniformed cops, who were also at a far distance behind her. She, then, “whined” that masks are for everyone’s “safety,” and not just “urs.”

Wearing masks in New York City

Bella Hadid’s post, reportedly, garnered a lot of views. However, it is not “compulsory” to wear masks or face coverings in the outdoors of New York, according to The Independent. Nevertheless, this only, reportedly, applies to people who are following the social distancing guidelines of standing six feet away from others.

The publication, then, added that the state guidance, however, encourages New York residents to wear face coverings and masks “at all times,” especially on public transportations and shared indoor spaces.

Her “responsibility” to use social media for good

Gigi Hadid‘s younger sister spent her lockdown period in Yolanda Hadid’s farm in Pennsylvania. Reports added that she recently did a live interview from her mother’s place for Elle magazine.

Bella Hadid, reportedly, talked about her “responsibility” when it comes to using her “platform” to do good amid today’s crisis. She told the publication that she wanted her followers to know about being “empathetic” and gentle. But, she, also, pointed out that one should remain “strong” to speak the truth at the same time.
