Winning the games is not just about the skill of the player; it’s also about the loadout they bring with them. Apex Legends Season 5 comes packed with many tweaks and upgrades for some weapons, which make them top-tier picks for players. Here are some of the weapons that players should definitely fight for in King’s Canyon and World’s Edge.
Fortune’s Favor brings back the beloved Skullpiercer Rifling attachment. This massively increases the damage for headshots made with the Longbow and Wingman. Now that it’s back, the Longbow DMR has once again become one of the best sniper rifles in the game.
Apart from its bullet drop, the Longbow remains to be one of the best sniper rifles due to its stability, damage, and range. Once players pick up a Skullpiercer, it’s best to find a Longbow and a sniper scope to go along with it. This makes those mid-game plays important when enemy players are coming into the ring.
The Mastiff Shotgun was a care package weapon since the first season of Apex Legends. However, Apex Legends Season 5 puts the gun into the regular rotation in exchange for the Peacekeeper. Although it has been significantly nerfed, the Mastiff is still one of the best shotguns in the game.
Aside from high damage, the Mastiff also maintains a relatively low spread of bullets. This means unlike the Eva-8 and Mozambique, players can still deal significant damage even at mid-range.
The Peacekeeper is now rarer to get, but it certainly is a keeper nonetheless. As a care package weapon, the Peacekeeper comes equipped with a Precision Choke, a level three shotgun bolt, and a Digital Threat scope. It’s one of the highest damaging weapons in the game currently, so players should fight for those care packages when the drop.
The return of the Skullpiercer Rifling attachment has also made the Wingman a must-have weapon as well. It is one of the highest damaging weapons in the game, but due to its low ammo capacity, players should first try to find a heavy mag. The Wingman requires a lot of precision, though so players should first practice this weapon on the training range before they use it on PVP.
These are the best weapons so far in Apex Legends Season 5. While these are considered top-tier, players can still become champions if they use a weapon that they are already accustomed to.
