Bette Midler is displeased with President Donald Trump but excited to be a Sanderson Sister again.
The Hocus Pocus star Bette Midler does not hold back in criticizing Donald Trump’s administration. She has been vocal about his actions and reforms since the initial days.
Trump, along with first lady Melania Trump, tested positive for COVID-19. In light of the President’s COVID-19 diagnosis, the star took to Twitter, saying the situation is convenient.
She stated that she doesn’t trust the President anymore. The actress’s statement reads:
“Just learned that Hope Hicks tested positive for COVID. Timing’s so interesting. I guess Trump’s quarantining will mean no rallies and no more debates. Convenient. It’s awful to always think the worst, but after four years of relentless lying? Can’t be helped. No trust left.”

The matter is not Midler’s first statement against the President. Earlier in September, she was backlashed and was called a racist after she made fun of the First Lady’s English during the Republican National Convention.
Following the Presidential Debate, the singer-actress stated that Joe Biden is a gentleman, and Trump is a rat. She saw the debate as nothing but a $70,000 hairdo before calling him a pig.
Furthermore, the actress whos gearing up for Hocus Pocus sequel called Trump as cancer to the country after he referred the fallen soldiers as losers.
The sequel talks and delays
Midler confirmed, alongside the original trio, that she is ready to star in the sequel of Hocus Pocus with a release date in sight. The excited actress revealed that the logistic talks are going on and that she can’t wait to fly again.
The 1993 original movie Hocus Pocus starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy as witches who terrorizes children.
Return as a cult classic
Despite the film’s short success, it gained recognition again when Disney started annually airing the movie during its Halloween season film lineup. The mater led the movie to be considered a cult classic and has a huge fan base.
Over the years, the film’s cast went on dropping hints about the sequel in works but never gave a timeline. Additionally, the witch sisters are gearing for a reunion on October 30, benefitting the New York Restoration Project.
In March, Adam Shankman confirmed that he is helming the classic film. The Hairspray Director stated that he hopes to please all the fans with his skills, just like in his previous works.
