Better Call Saul is going to run another season one last time. The show will return soon for season 6.
According to reports, Better Call Saul has been given the green light for its sixth and final season.
Its network, AMC, announced the renewal of the crime drama TV series back in January 2020. Show-runner and co-creator Peter Gould said back then that by February, they will be starting production on the season finale.
“We’re going to do our damnedest to stick the landing,” said Gould.
The events of the last season of the spin-off is expected to tie together the events of the beginning of Breaking Bad, the show’s parent series.
When is season 6 coming?
At the moment, there is no word yet as to when Better Call Saul season 6 will premiere. All that is known is that it is scheduled to be released sometime early 2021.
Nothing is certain though considering the industry-wide production shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. There is a possibility that it will be pushed back from its usual premiere date.
However, fans have nothing to worry as sources say that writing for the sixth season continues on remotely. The only cause of concern for now is the production.
The prequel series is also said to have a total of 13 episodes rather than the usual 10 episodes per season. All episodes are expected to drop on Netflix a day after it premieres on AMC in the U.S.

Season 5 cliffhanger
Fans are more than ever looking forward for the sixth season especially since the season 5 finale left off with a cliffhanger.
As a recap, the last episode ended with Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) hiding from Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) in a hotel to protect themselves. The two were shaken after Lalo closed in on the both of them.
Kim also had an encounter with Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian) who warned her about Jimmy’s torments toward him over the past few months. Kim just laughed off his warning though and began planning with Jimmy how to taunt Howard together.
Apparently, season 6 is most likely going to unveil more answers to the question of “what happens to Kim?” The events from the last episode have really made the character turn into a “central question.”

In an interview with Gould, he said that in a lot of ways, Kim is the “soul question” towards the ending of the prequel.
“We know, for better or worse, who Saul Goodman seemed to be on Breaking Bad,” said Gould. “But what happens to Kim Wexler? Where is she headed? There’s a lot of possibilities and a lot of not-so-great possibilities.”
Fans will have to stay tuned to find out more details of Better Call Saul season 6.
