Beyonce, Kelly Rowland reunite in ‘Brown Skin Girl’ music video

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland pleased their fans with their beautiful reunion in the former’s recent music video for her single Brown Skin Girl.

Beyonce dropped her newest music video on YouTube on Monday, and it immediately earned over a million views just hours after it was uploaded. Aside from the wonderful music, many were happy to see Beyonce and Kelly Rowland together.

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland reunion pleases fans

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland were among the members of the Houston-based group Girls Tyme in 1990. LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett were also members of the group.

Later on, they were signed to Columbia Records as Destiny’s Child. There were several changes in the line-up with Michelle William eventually replacing Luckett and Roberson.

With Beyonce and Rowland’s history of singing together, their fans were very happy that they share the same screen again.

“The Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé moment was the best scene in brown skin girl video. That [explicit] gave me goosebumps, I almost shed tears,” one wrote.

“I cry every time Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland look at each other and smile,” another added.

“Probably my favourite scene on ‘Brown Skin Girl’. You can tell genuine smiles, stares and hugs,” another online user shared along with a clip of Beyonce and Rowland hugging.

“When beyonce harmonized that ’cause you’re beautiful oouuuu’ in the brown skin girl video to Kelly Rowland I felt that,” Rae commented.

“when Beyoncé sang ’cause you’re beautiful ooooooo’ to Kelly Rowland warmed my heart,” another added.

Kelly spoke about being compared with Beyonce

Last month, Kelly Rowland got candid about her feelings when people compare her to her bandmate and close friend, Beyonce. In one episode on The Voice Australia, one contestant, Chris Sebastian, revealed his constant fears of being overshadowed by his older brother.

The former Destiny’s Child member said she could relate to him. Rowland admitted she felt the same because Beyonce was too talented and they were in the same group and were often compared.

“I know this feeling. Can you imagine what it’s like being in a group with Beyoncé?” Rowland said as quoted by CNN.

“I would just torture myself in my head,” she continued.

“‘I can’t wear this dress because they’re going to say it’s like B.’ Or, ‘I can’t have a song like that because it sounds too much like B.’ They’re gonna compare anyway.”

Rowland admitted that she “would be lying if I said no, it’s never bothered me.” She added that having a more famous bandmate was “the elephant in the room” for “a whole decade.”

Singers remain good friends

Despite being pitted against each other, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland continue to be good friends.

Beyonce greeted Rowland on her birthday.

“Happy Birthday Kelly! I love you Deep Deep. BIG deep,” Beyonce wrote per Independent.

On the other hand, Rowland also spoke about their solid friendship in a previous interview.

“From the rumors to the lawsuits to false accusations, it was really tough. We were strong because we had each other. There were times when I couldn’t even be strong enough, so I had B. She was the only thing I knew. She was my only friend,” Rowland told Entertainment Weekly in 2010.
