Big Hit IP to open BTS pop-up store

Through the Big Hit IP, BTS will unveil 300 different kinds of products in an online pop-up store!

The Big Hit IP is gearing to open a new pop-up store called BTS POP-UP: MAP OF THE SOUL.

The company Big Hit IP is an independent corporation in charge of the Big Hit Entertainment’s IP (Intellectual Property) business. The business concept is based on the fourth full-length album of BTS, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7.

Online-operated business

The 300 varying kinds of products showcased in BTS POP-UP: MAP OF THE SOUL includes household goods and clothing.

Unlike the previous pop-up stores, the new store will mainly be operated online. Countries that can access the shop include Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Germany, the United States, Britain, and France.

From October 23, 2020, to January 24, 2021, the United States and Korea will be having access to the online store.

And Europe and the rest of Asia can access from November 14, 2020, to February 14, 2021.

In Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo, showcases will be operated offline, and they will be decorated in blue.

Blue has been the key color of the album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7. They will be including the leading showroom in the showcase, where the merchandise is sold.

Various spaces are also being featured in the showcase. These spaces recreate the album’s concept and music video sets. And an area for BTS-inspired animation characters, TinyTAN.

Events to follow protocols

The run of the showcases will be in the same period as the online store. With this, fans need to reserve tickets in advance. Notedly, the events will be held under COVID-19 protocol.

According to the Big Hit IP, the new BTS pop-up store BTS POP-UP: MAP OF THE SOUL will be held online and offline. This is simultaneously done to provide a different fan experience in the new standard era.

The corporation hopes that the said showcases in Seoul, Tokyo, and Singapore will comfort fans who are saddened by the BTS tour’s cancellation.
