Big Hit Japan confirms new idol group from ‘I-LAND’

Big Hit Entertainment Japan outlet announces the formation of the newest idol group of the country. The members come from the eliminated contestants of the idol competition show of Mnet, I-LAND.

Big Hit Entertainment Japan announces new boy band

J-pop will add another idol group from Big Hit Entertainment that will storm over 2021 with a bang.

Meanwhile, Allkpop reported that contestants from the Mnet’s survival show I-LAND has been announced as the newest members of the upcoming boy band.

The contestants did not make it through the show’s finale, as they were all eliminated beforehand.

The vast news was announced by the Japanese outlet of Big Hit Entertainment. It uploaded a video of the former five dashing lads from I-LAND, namely Kyungmin, EJ, Taki, Nicholas, and K.

However, the band will not only be an ensemble of five, but more members will be coming in to join them.

Moreover, the remaining members are still in wraps and will indeed announce once the audition is over and the name of the upcoming group will be chosen.

The entertainment agency on the debut of the new idol group

The boy band is under the agency’s umbrella that formed and managed the world’s most phenomenal K-pop group, BTS. However, the new boy group will be debuting in Japan and not in South Korea.

This year 2021, the upcoming band will be making its way in the J-pop music scene, with starter fans anticipating the forthcoming names’ announcement, per Soompi.

Soompi shared that the project mentors include the CEO and Chairman of the agency, Bang Si Hyuk, well-known producer Pdogg, and Performance Director Son Sung Deok.

The cast ensemble, who acts as the band’s support team, further adds Performance Director Sakura Inoue, and Sound Director/Producer Soma Genda. The project-special mentors are UTA and Ryosuke Imai.

Simultaneously, fans are waiting for the time as news of the upcoming band is making headlines. Will they be the next BTS?
