The talks of Big Little Lies Season 3 have remained in development over the past few months. With no solid update about the show’s future, its main stars, the “Monterey Five,” recently made into the headlines for their surprising and heart-warming return.
The main actresses, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman, Zoë Kravitz, and Shailene Woodley, partnered with Frontline Foods to “sponsor” meals for medical heroes and frontline workers, according to Harper’s Bazaar. As stated, the actresses chose five cities for the donation.
On Friday, Reese Witherspoon shared on her Instagram account about the latest updates on the cast of Big Little Lies. In support of the efforts amid the COVID-19 crisis, they donated meals to several medical workers.
The actresses, who famously played the role of the Monterey Five, reportedly chose five cities. These include Los Angeles, New Orleans, Phoenix, Nashville, and New York City. Also, they have chosen local food chains with female owners or have female chefs working in them. This is reportedly posted on Laura Dern’s post.
Prior to the Big Little Lies stars’ partnership with Frontline Foods, reports revealed that Kerry Washington and the cast of Scandal were also involved with the effort. As per Chicago Eater, they donated 100 meals for the staff of the Roseland Community Hospital last month.
As pointed out, the hospital has shut down its “kitchen operations” after the kitchen staff and workers contracted the novel coronavirus. This reportedly left them without any foodservice, causing them to solicit food donations from local restaurants.
The Legally Blonde actress thanked the cast of Shonda Rhimes’ now-concluded series for the inspiration. This reportedly influenced them to participate in the same “endeavor.”
In the past few months, the main actresses of the HBO’s Big Little Lies, have reportedly expressed their hopes for a new season. Following the success of the series, reports said that fans do also hope for the same thing.
However, it remains unknown whether the series will get a green light from the network. Even so, the cast of the show has seemingly continued to do their respective endeavors amid the lockdown measures.
As they all observe self-isolation from their respective homes, some of the cast members of Big Little Lies have reportedly engaged in different virtual conversations. The actresses even posted some of their video calls on social media.
