Big Little Lies season 3 could still return to HBO. Zoë Kravitz recently confirmed she will be back on the popular drama.
There is a possibility that viewers will see Big Little Lies season 3 within the next two years. This was after cast member Zoë Kravitz expressed interest in returning to the idyllic Californian town of Monterrey.
Kravitz played Bonnie in the first two seasons of Big Little Lies. Her character initially had an uneasy relationship with the other members of the Monterrey Five but they eventually became friendly.
Her character had a bigger role in the second season. Bonnie bore a lot of guilt as she was the one who pushed Perry (Alexander Skarsgård) off the stairs. She also had to deal with past traumas she experienced in her life.
What people know about Big Little Lies season 3
At this point, not much is known about the third season of Big Little Lies. If reports that the star-studded drama will return are true, the series is most likely still in the writing stage.
The third season will likely pick up after the last scenes of the season finale. The other members of the Monterrey Five joined Bonnie as she turned herself in for their big lie.
In a recent Instagram Live, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern expressed who they want to join the show. They said that they hope to bring Jennifer Lopez to become part of the cast.

Will Big Little Lies sweep the Emmys?
When the second season of Big Little Lies aired, it became one of the first shows to garner Emmy buzz. Particular praise went to Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and new addition Meryl Streep for their performances.
However, there is one big change that could affect the awards fortunes of the series. This year, the drama will move to the Drama category. This will result in stiffer competition from other prestige dramas released in the past year.
In 2017, Big Little Lies dominated in the Miniseries/TV movie category of the Emmys. Witherspoon, Kidman, Dern, and Alexander Skarsgård all took home trophies for their work on the show.
Zoë Kravitz receives acclaim for High Fidelity
Meanwhile, Zoë Kravitz recently worked on High Fidelity. She served as the star and executive producer on the series, which is an adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel.
In the Hulu series, Kravitz played record store owner Rob, who has a history of struggling with relationships. She met Clyde (Jake Lacy) even as she tried to move on from Mac (Kingsley Ben-Adir).
In an interview with a major fashion magazine, she mentioned that her experience on Big Little Lies inspired her. High Fidelity was her first project as an executive producer and she looked to co-star Reese Witherspoon for advice.
HBO will soon announce the future of Big Little Lies season 3. Meanwhile, audiences can watch Zoë Kravitz in the first season of High Fidelity on Hulu.
