Even though we didn’t get E3 this year, we still have some amazing reveals over the last few days. It seems like the 2021 video game releases are going to be setting up the next generation even further.
There are a few great titles launching this year. However, the fans are already excited about the 2021 video game releases. The Nintendo Direct Mini and the PlayStation 5 Showcase gave us a glimpse of what we can expect in the next year. Here are just some of the most exciting titles so far.
‘God of War: Ragnarok’
By the end of the PlayStation 5 Showcase, Sony revealed that God of War Ragnarok is coming and it’s going to release sometime next year. Although no cinematic trailer was revealed, the footage was enough to get fans riled up.
The game will be a direct sequel to God of War. By the end of the game, we see Thor visit Kratos and Atreus in a hidden scene. As per the last game, Ragnarok is coming sooner than expected because of the duo.
‘Monster Hunter Rise’
Capcom surprised fans during the recent Nintendo Direct Mini with the reveal of Monster Hunter Rise. This new Monster Hunter game exclusive for the Switch will launch on March 26, 2021.
The game will draw a lot of inspiration from previous entries such as the Turf Wars and seamless worlds of Monster Hunter World. Of course, it will also have new features such as the Palamute which are dog companions.
‘Hogwarts Legacy’
Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most anticipated 2021 video game releases currently. The game will be set in the 1800s, and it will tell the tale within Hogwarts before the events of J.K. Rowling’s book series.
A Harry Potter RPG has long been rumored. In fact, there were leaks regarding it earlier this year. However, there are a lot of things that don’t lineup with the leaks and the actual game.
For starters, the leaks suggest that the game takes places years after the events of Harry Potter. The leaks got some things right, though, as Hogwarts Legacy is apparently an RPG with heavy decisions for players to make.
These 2021 video game releases are going to push the next-gen of platforms further. We’ll be seeing more of these games within the coming months. Fans may want to hold off on buying the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X until these games arrive.
