Billie Eilish spoke about the hate messages she has been hearing from people and whether it affects her in any way.
As one of the rising singers in her generation, Billie Eilish has already received much attention from the public. While she has a lot of fans who support her, some people said to hate her, but the singer is not worried at all.
Since 2016, the now-19-year-old singer has appeared in an interview with Vanity Fair for the same interview where she receives the same questions. She also gets the chance to react to her previous answers.
In the latest installment of the interview series, the news outlet asked her again whether she feels pressure nowadays.
“I feel a lot of pressure, but I would also say that back then [in the earlier years of her career], I was more loved,” she said. “I was pretty overall loved, I would say, to be honest. I was scared because I wanted to keep that love.”
Through the years, things reportedly changed – including her attitude. For that, she starts receiving hate comments. Still, she clarified she is no longer worried about what people say about her.
In the same video, her previous answers were played again. Just like last year, Eilish said she did not care about the pressure that hit her anymore.
Eilish said she lied in previous interviews
According to the Happier Than Ever singer, she reportedly lied in her previous answers but still refused to detail the pressure she suffered from at that time.
After watching her old self saying she did not feel pressure at all, she said it was just her trying to convince herself she did not care.
“Every single one. Every single one. I know that I cared and I was just literally coming up with some stupid quote that would make me pretend that I didn’t care,” she explained.
She even opted to have inspirational quotes despite not agreeing with them most of the time.
In the Vanity interview, Eilish also touched her British Vogue cover, wearing lingerie, which has since gone viral.
According to the singer, the project was weird since it was not a new style for her despite people thinking it was. Now that she is more open to new things, she reminded herself not to let people ruin it.
