Binance, TravelbyBit team up to enable crypto globe-trotters

Tourism industry crypto adoption on the rise

The world’s biggest crypto exchange, Binance, has today announced an AU$3.48m investment into Queensland-based crypto travel startup TravelbyBit.

The investment will fund a roll-out of cryptocurrency point-of-sale systems into major airports around the world.

It’s been a meteoric rise for TravelbyBit after its technology was first installed at the Brisbane International Airport in July this year.

The company’s point-of-sale systems are also in use at a number of other tourism hot-spots in Queensland.

In August, TravelbyBit received a AU$100,000 grant from the Queensland Government to fund the installation of more crypto payment systems, in an attempt to boost tourist numbers.

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Ethereum, XEM and Binance Coin are all currently accepted by TravelbyBit.
