Her younger brother Robert Irwin commented that he couldn’t wait to meet her lovely niece.
The soon-to-be father Powell also shared the news with a similar post on his official account.
He expressed his happiness by saying that his upcoming daughter and beautiful wife are his worlds. And that he is excited to welcome their family’s newest addition next year and witness her grow up.
The mini-wildlife warrior
Irwin, 22, and Powell, 23, let out the incredible news by sharing a photo of themselves while holding a small khaki shirt, indicating that they were expecting a baby. The announcement was made via Instagram in August.
The couple further indicated that they look forward to what’s ahead of them as a family, wanting their followers to be a part of the journey. They also thanked their followers for the endless support they have received throughout the years.
Since then, the couple has been posting regular updates for their followers.
In the second week of September, the wildlife conservationist couple, holding rescued animals, shared another photo along with a Sonogram. The caption tells of the growth of their warrior baby, comparing it to the size of a Hummingbird.

Their years-long relationship
Powell is an American professional wakeboarder. The pair first met each other when he was visiting a zoo in 2013. As teenagers, they stayed in touch and exchanged letters often. After publicizing their relationship in 2015, the duo continued seeing each other for nearly seven years.
In the same year, she was known as the winner of Dancing with the Stars U.S.‘s 21st season.
After announcing their engagement last year, the couple tied the knot in March 2020.
Despite planning an elaborate and fairytale-like wedding, the couple had to cut short the guest list to only family members in the wake of the pandemic and social distancing rules.
The family works and lives together in the Queensland Australian zoo.
