Bitcoin bear market... No worries, Binance will survive for 100 years!

Binance CEO and Founder Changpeng Zhao has an incredibly bullish outlook for his multi-billion dollar empire, even if the Bitcoin bear market continues.

In a Twitter live stream broadcast today, a viewer asked Zhao if Binance could survive another year in a Bitcoin bear market.

“I think basically Binance is ready to survive any number of years, no matter bear or bull,” he replied.

“We basically don’t really look at the market too much, as much as people think we do, we just keep our head down and build futures.

“Binance is very healthy financially and very stable in terms of team… So our aim is much longer than another year, our aim is 10, 50, 100 years, so we’ll be here for a while.

In July 2018, Bloomberg reported Binance was expecting a net profit of between US$500m and $1b for the calendar year.

Earlier this month Zhao sparked a frenzy in the crypto community when he tweeted “Amazon will have to issue a currency sooner or later.”

The tweet followed persistent rumours that Amazon will begin accepting Bitcoin and many believed the prediction may have been based on some sort of ‘insider’ information.

However, in the live stream, Zhao revealed it was just a “guess”.

“I tweeted about the fact that Amazon will have to launch a cryptocurrency sooner or later but that’s my guess, I haven’t spoken to anyone from Amazon,” he said.

The live stream was viewed by almost 23,000 Twitter users.
