Amidst all issues that are raised concerning cryptocurrency mining, Bitmain reportedly has unveiled a new scrypt ASIC rig that could be used for dogecoin, litecoin, digibyte and verge mining.
According to Chinese journalist Colin “Wu” Blockchain, the company revealed its latest machine and its specifications in an exposition held in Chengdu.
The new device is claimed by Bitmain to have a greater hash rate than its previous models, able to produce around 9,500 megahashes per second. Moreover, its overseas prices are said to be reduced by 13%.
The new device’s specifications
On his Twitter account, the China-based reporter said, “On June 19, Bitmain released the new Litecoin/Dogecoin mining machine L7, adding that it has a “hashrate of 9,500 MH/s and 3425W, equivalent to 19 sets of L3+.”
The journalist also revealed the price of the item, set at $15,000, although, as earlier mentioned, its overseas price is reduced by 13%. Meanwhile, the delivery time for the mining rig is on November 2021.
At the same exposition, the company has also showcased its 5nm-based bitcoin water-cooled mining machine and a preview of the Dash mining machine D7.
A follow-up of some sorts
At the end of April this year, Bitmain unveiled its Antminer E9 ethereum mining rig which is not yet for sale and its prices have not been revealed yet.
According to the company, the ethereum miner is equivalent to 32-3080 graphics cards and is equipped with a hashrate of 3 GH/s.
Currently, the Innosilicon brand A6+ Ltcmaster is the most profitable scrypt miner on the market today, boasting a hashrate of 2,200 MH/s. A single unit of the machine can give the owner profit of $26 per day in exchange for an energy consumption rate of $0.12 per kilowatt-hour.
