After Zack Snyder’s Justice League made its arrival last week on HBO Max, its black-and-white version, Justice Is Gray, is here!
The ultimate cut, but in monochrome, Justice Is Gray is now available on Warner Bros’ streaming platform.
Movie Review: Zack Snyder’s Justice League
‘Justice Is Gray’: Anything new?
As per the director himself, Justice Is Gray is “the most fan-centric, most pure Justice League experience. Because that’s how I lived with the movie for two years, in black-and-white.”
“I understand that people want to see [the Snyder Cut] in color, and that’s great, and I want them to enjoy it in color.”
This black-and-white version is the same, just like the colored cut that came last week on HBO Max. It has the same runtime of 242 minutes, but the overall feel will undoubtedly be different since it’s in the IMAX format.
Interestingly, Justice Is Gray is also the version that Snyder is thinking to screen during a SnyderVerse trilogy charity marathon. It is expected to happen later this year.
The marathon will see Man of Steel’s screening, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It will culminate with the ultimate IMAX monochrome cut of the Justice League.
New DC titles coming in the future
The SnyderVerse may not extend further than Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but DCEU will keep moving, no matter what.
And Warner Bros. has already planned a lot for the future.
Speaking of what’s coming in 2021, then there is James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, arriving in August. It’s more or less a reboot of 2016’s poorly-received David Ayer film.
The Batman has also finished shooting and is set to make its debut in theaters next year, in March. Robert Pattinson will be seen as the new live-action iteration of Bruce Wayne, a.k.a., The Dark Knight.
Fans are hyped since his first appearance in last year’s DC FanDome teaser trailer. It will also see Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz, Collin Farrell, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright.
Furthermore, there are projects like Wonder Woman 3, Shazam 2, The Flash, and Black Adam. The latter will see Dwayne Johnson playing the role of the famous comic book anti-hero.
Other anticipated and possible titles include Batgirl, Deathstroke (untitled), Justice League Dark, New Gods, and Blackhawk.
Coming back to Justice Is Gray, it’s now available to stream on HBO Max.
