Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might see Mark Ruffalo in Black Widow.
Marvel fans may be getting more than what they expected when Black Widow comes out in theaters. Mark Ruffalo reportedly wants Hulk to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming action movie.
Marvel’s female-led superhero movie does not directly follow Avengers: Endgame. Instead, it takes place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Hulk would be the perfect addition to the Scarlett Johansson movie. His whereabouts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during that period were not explored in previous movies.
Mark Ruffalo wants Hulk solo film
The Black Widow cameo is not the only request Mark Ruffalo has for Marvel Studios. Apparently, the Spotlight actor also wants The Hulk to have his own solo film as well.
Ruffalo said in an interview that he wants to explore the character more in the future. Previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films did not allow him to flesh out The Hulk’s background. He already has an “interesting” idea but it would take interest on Marvel’s part to get the ball rolling.
There’s an idea that I think could be really interesting. We’ve never really followed him into his life. He’s always kind of off on the side. He’s like the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the Avengers. It’d be interesting to fill in all the blanks about what happened to him in between all these movies.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe produced The Incredible Hulk in 2008, with Ed Norton playing the lead role. However, Norton clashed with the company over the final edits of the film. As a result, he refused to promote the project when it came out in cinemas. Mark Ruffalo eventually replaced him, appearing for the first time in 2012’s Avengers.
So far, there are no official conversations about a solo Ruffalo-led Hulk film yet. However, he acknowledged that there are discussions for him to appear on the upcoming Disney+ series, She-Hulk.
The real superheroes are working in hospitals, urgent care, elder care, and they need our help.

That said, there is a big obstacle standing in the way of Ruffalo taking the lead in a solo film. Universal Pictures still has the distribution rights to The Hulk-led projects. Disney and Universal have to create a Spider-Man-like arrangement to begin the movie.
Marvel delays Black Widow release to November
In other news, Marvel recently announced that they are moving Black Widow out of the lucrative summer season. The Scarlett Johansson flick will instead bow on Friday, November 6.
The studio also pushed back The Eternals, which was supposed to open on the Johansson movie’s new date. The movie, which stars Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden, will have a February 12, 2021 release.
No Disney+ release for Scarlett Johansson film
Meanwhile, Kevin Smith does not believe reports that Black Widow will have a direct Disney+ release. In his podcast FatMan Beyond LIVE!, he spoke about the reshuffle in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Smith explained that it would not make sense financially for Marvel Studios to release the movie straight to streaming. The comic book fan said the studio will more likely wait for months and then proceed with the theatrical release.
