Rosé of BLACKPINK dropped her solo debut album earlier this month.
One of the vocalists of BLACKPINK has continued to make guest appearances on various shows these past few days. Rosé seemingly increased her presence on different platforms following the release of her first solo album.
On Saturday, she guested on Knowing Brothers, alongside her long-time close friend Hyeri of Girl’s Day. The pair talked about a lot of things about themselves, as well as their friendship.
In one part of the episode, Rosé recalled a moment from her group’s world tour. Koreaboo reported that this was when the four K-Pop idols had to stop their concert because of the vocalist.
Why BLACKPINK had to stop the concert all of a sudden
The BLACKPINK member shared the reason behind the whole debacle. She said that they stopped amid the act due to a hilarious moment on stage.
Rosé explained that it happened at the start of their “BOOMBAYAH” performance. While singing her part, she saw her groupmates laughing at her.
She first thought that it was because of Lisa and her hair. But, the three K-Pop idols told her that she should take a look at her own hair.
As it happened, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa could not stop laughing at her hair. As described, her hair “was spiked up” as if there was “static electricity.” Because of this, they had to pause the concert to calm themselves down.
The group’s latest concert
BLACKPINK has yet to continue with their live stage performances due to the pandemic. Months after releasing their 2020 comeback album, though, the four K-Pop stars held their first virtual concert, THE SHOW.
Earlier this year, the members had a successful live performance via YouTube. They delivered a total of 19 tracks, including covers of songs, like Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” and Doja Cat’s “Say So.”
Bandwagon reported that it was a highly successful event considering the overall turnout of viewership records. As noted, 280,000 individuals across the globe tuned in to witness the exclusive performance.
Where are the BLACKPINK members today
Following their virtual concert, however, the four members have seemingly focused on their respective projects outside the group. Weeks prior to THE SHOW, Jennie launched her own YouTube channel. She has since dropped a few videos on the platform.
Lisa is currently working on her mentor role on Youth With You Season 3. As for Jisoo, she is busy with her lead role for Snowdrop.
Meanwhile, the vocalist of BLACKPINK, Rosé, premiered her first solo album, R. She also launched her own channel on YouTube a day after.
