BLACKPINK to guest on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

BLACKPINK is the first K-Pop girl group to appear on the American late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is globally known for its popularity, who recently released its first full album entitled The Album.

The American ABC broadcast signboard confirmed the appearance of BLACKPINK on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK will be performing its newest song, Lovesick Girls. Moreover, the girl group’s performance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live will be broadcasted on October 20.

The K-pop quartet is planning to share some various stories through video interviews on the same day of its performance. BLACKPINK is the first K-pop girl group to appear on the program.

Rising to the top

After the announcement of its newest album, The Album, the group rises to take the top spot in the American Billboard Artist 100. The Billboard 200 and UK official album charts both ranked 2nd, respectively.

The impressive feat of BLACKPINK confirmed that they have a strong presence in the mainstream pop market.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK swept off the top spots of iTunes’ album chart in 57 different countries. The title track Lovesick Girls also ranked No. 1 on the Global YouTube song Top 100.

Moreover, they topped the Billboard Global Chart ranking with the album’s streaming and music volume sales.

BLACKPINK previously appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and The Late Late Show With James Corden.

In 2018, BLACKPINK’s fellow K-pop phenomenal K-pop group BTS appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and they performed their hit track, MIC DROP.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is an American late-night show that was created and hosted by the comedian Jimmy Kimmel. The nightly hour-long tv show made its debut in 2003. It is also the longest-running late-night show in the network.
