The members of Blackpink have been asked to speak and perform at Google’s Dear Earth event on October 23, which will be hosted by YouTube Original.
After being named an ambassador for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the K-pop group Blackpink now has a new reason to use their voice for a good cause (SDGs).
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a movement that promotes the adoption of ecologically friendly development options to replace those detrimental to the environment and necessary lifestyle changes to help address the climate problem.
Blackpink was designated as an advocate for the SDGs and given the duty of raising awareness about important problems such as climate change and the need for climate action.
Blackpink will talk to the youth
As a result of the collaboration of different national leaders and spokespeople for this cause, popular young stars such as Blackpink will ensure that their voices reach the young minds who will shape the world’s future.
With so much trust placed in Blackpink’s competent hands, a lot can be anticipated in terms of influencing their massive, worldwide audience.

Blackpink is set to appear as guests on YouTube’s original event, Dear Earth, in partnership with Google to make their voices heard and start discussing climate change. The event is part of a campaign to raise climate change awareness.
A broad variety of global leaders will attend the event, including Pope Francis, former US President Barack Obama, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Other Hollywood stars, like Billie Eilish, Anitta, Jaden Smith, and others, will participate in the program with a performance or a speech to educate young minds and followers about climate change.
The only Kpop artist on the panel
Because the event is becoming more of a celebrity gathering, Blackpink will be the sole K-pop group on the panel.
According to reports, the members will sing on the program and be asked to speak as special guests.
Blackpink members will give a profound message focused on raising climate change awareness so that fans all around the globe may help save the earth.
As the most-subscribed group of musicians on YouTube, Blackpink is one of the most influential K-pop groups. Before this, Blackpink worked as an advocate for COP 26 to solve global warming problems.
They will also speak at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, which Britain will hold later this year, and will take on additional duties given to them by the UN.
Dear Earth, a YouTube Original program, will “inspire and encourage viewers to build a better, healthier life for the planet via contributions from a diverse variety of global leaders, artists, celebrities, and musicians,” according to the show’s description.
During the Summer TCA press tour, Susanne Daniels, YouTube’s global head of original programming, informed reporters.
