Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ marriage is allegedly on the rocks after the latter withheld an opportunity to the former.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are about to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary. However, one outlet claimed that the couple is facing marital issues and are unhappy about their union. However, one should take those reports with a grain of salt because there are no pieces of evidence to support those claims.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ marriage rumors
New Idea published a report claiming that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are unhappy with their marriage. Behind the charming and funny couple are two individuals who are allegedly in “misery.”
One source claimed that the problem had something to do with their career.
“It all came to a head when Ryan didn’t give her the female lead in his upcoming rom-com, Shotgun Wedding,” the dubious source said.
Lively was allegedly upset because she “is desperate to go back to work.” The tabloid also claimed that the Shallow star “doesn’t want to be forgotten about.”
Rumor debunk
However, Gossip Cop debunked the report. According to the rumor-debunking site, Blake Lively has been starring in a number of thrillers and blockbusters before. Thus, it’s unlikely that she would be upset for not starring in the romantic comedy movie, Shotgun Wedding.
Also, it’s not true that Lively feared she would be forgotten. She appeared in the action-drama film The Rhythm Section, which was released on Jan. 31, 2020.
Blake and Ryan in real life
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are among the most beloved power couple in Hollywood. Both are known for their playful nature. They are always teasing each other with unflattering photos and funny tweets.
In an interview with Glamour in 2017, Lively shared how she and Reynolds face their problems together. According to the Gossip Girl alum, she talked to Reynolds straight if she has issues with him.
“In other relationships, if something came up, I would call my girlfriends or my sister, and say, ‘Hey, this is what he did — what should I do?’ Where, with him, we were friends for two years before we were ever dating. And I treat him like my girlfriend,” Lively said.
“I’m like, ‘Hey, this happened. It upset me. This is how I feel. What do I do?’ And he does the same for me. He treats me like his best buddy.”
Meanwhile, Reynolds said on Live with Kelly and Ryan that their trolling and jokes were signs of a “healthy relationship.”
