Blake Shelton was allegedly jealous of Gwen Stefani’s plan to make romantic duets with other male singers.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are already engaged and might get married soon. However, one outlet claimed that the God Gave Me You singer doesn’t want his fiancee to create songs with other male singers.
Blake Shelton freaking over Gwen Stefani’s new recordings
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are allegedly having issues months after announcing their engagement. Globe claimed that Shelton is not supportive of Stefani wanting to record new songs without him.
There are rumors that she will be making a duet with either Harry Styles or The Weeknd, which is allegedly making Shelton jealous. Sources claimed that the No Doubt singer no longer wants to be tied with her fiance.
It seemed that Stefani’s friends share the same concern as Shelton. “Everyone in Gwen and Blake’s circle thinks” recording duets with Harry Styles of The Weeknd “a bad idea since she’s a known flirt.” The tabloid seemed to have a change of mind and concluded that Shelton was just being “pretty protective of his lady,” so the rumored duet “won’t sit well with” him.
Rumor debunked
Gossip Cop debunked the report because collaborating with other musicians has been a central part of Gwen Stefani’s music. She started as a solo artist and made her name when she became the vocalist of No Doubt.
The rumor-debunking site pointed out that it would be unlikely for Blake Shelton to just snap if he learned about her doing music with male singers. Also, Shelton himself is no stranger to duets and even landed a top 20 hits with Ashley Monroe, Gwen Sebastian, and Pistol Annies.
Also, since Stefani is working on her comeback album, it will be inevitable for her to work with men other than Shelton. The outlet believed that Globe was just trying to spin the basic fact to create a drama.
Blake and Gwen’s update
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani announced their engagement in October. The couple has not announced a wedding date, but they are expected to tie the knot soon. An insider claimed that the country singer is eager to marry her soon after his proposal.
Shelton and Stefani are already living together in the $13.2 million mansion they purchased in May. Stefani was happy and excited to be living under one roof with Shelton, according to an insider. Prior to living together, they also spent the lockdown in his ranch in Oklahoma.
