Promoters of a new ‘Hollywood blockchain’ conference have distributed a press release to Australian media claiming Ashton Kutcher, Sandra Bullock, and Justin Timberlake will be among a group of A-list celebrities in attendance.
If the A-list guests aren’t a bold enough claim, organisers of the ‘Blockchain Goes Hollywood’ conference say it will be ‘the biggest blockchain event ever held’.
“This event will be a tremendous win for the blockchain technology industry, showing the positive benefits of this revolutionary advancement, many innovative companies with be (sic) launched along with promotion of the great work of existing innovators in the industry,” reads the media release.
The blockchain event’s website lists Robert Corriveau (CEO of GavelCoin) and Steve Stein (Hollywood marketer) as co-founders.
Paula Abdul, who features in a promotional video for the event, is listed as Host/Celebrity Liaison.
Along with the celebrities, event organisers are also promising an array of hungry blockchain investors.
“We have partnered with the world’s leading VC, investors and crowd fund’s (sic) who have pledged tens of millions of dollars of investments for companies presenting at Blockchain Goes Hollywood.”
The event is being held at the LA Convention Centre in California, in February 2019.
