Producers of Bond 25 want to take advantage of the delay in the movie’s release. It is said that they want to bring in Judi Dench for a short appearance on No Time to Die.
Dench’s appearance will take in the form of flashbacks. The scenes will help set the stage for Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond.
Judi Dench played M in the Bond movies. In the films, M was the head of the MI6 and served as Bond’s superior. The Oscar-winning actress started playing the role in 1995’s GoldenEye until the character was killed off in 2012’s Skyfall.
Bond 25 auctions clapperboard from filming
No Time to Die became one of the first films that had to delay its release because of COVID-19. To help in the fight against the pandemic, producers of Bond 25 recently auctioned a signed clapperboard from the shoot.

According to a report, the clapperboard will have signatures from the film’s stars. This included Daniel Craig, director Cary Joji Fukunaga, Naomie Harris, and singer Billie Eilish.
Proceeds of the auction will go to the UK’s National Health Service. The amount is expected to help in the fight against COVID-19 in the country.
MGM cuts staff due to No Time to Die delay
The delay in the release of No Time to Die has a huge financial impact on its studio. Recently, the film company announced that it had to lay off a number of its employees.
In a report, it was revealed that MGM cut as much as 7 percent of its staff. The layoffs affected workers from both the scripted and unscripted divisions of the company.
Based on the studio’s schedule, MGM indicated that No Time to Die is its biggest 2020 release. The company had already spent cash on the movie’s publicity and marketing campaigns.
What trailers suggest about the next Bond film
As with most major blockbusters, cast members remain mum about No Time to Die. However, the trailers offer a few clues as to where the movie is heading.
It looks like Bond leaves active service until Felix (played by Jeffrey Wright) enlists his help for a case. The trailers also set up the characters of new cast members Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, and Ana de Armas.
Bond 25 will start its theatrical release on Friday, November 25. Meanwhile, Judi Dench will be in the comedy film Blithe Spirit.
