Action-packed off-the-wall looter shooter Borderlands 3 is getting a new Western-themed DLC called Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption.
The Borderlands franchise has always had a penchant for the loud and peculiar. So it comes as no surprise that Borderlands 3‘s next adventure aims to give players the gunslinger experience. After all, nothing says loud like the Wild West.
Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption marks the third paid campaign downloadable content (DLC) Borderlands 3 has to offer.
Cleverly based off the similarly titled Clint Eastwood film A Fist Full of Dollars, the upcoming DLC takes place in the backwater planet of Gehenna, a weapon testing ground turned dust bowl.
Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, #Borderlands3’s next DLC, arrives June 25. Travel to Vestige, a small town on the harsh desert planet of Gehenna to claim a bounty on the vicious beast-riding gang known as the Devil Riders.

Gear up for some frontier justice in the wastelands
Players will get the chance to explore the barren world of Gehanna in search of the Devil Riders, a bandit gang known for saddling up on ferocious creatures and wreaking havoc across the planet.
Gamers will need to seek out allies in the small town of Vestige, if they are to have any hope of taking down the villains terrorizing their people. Fortunately, there are a few brave—albeit slightly eccentric—souls willing to join the cause.
Developer Gearbox has unveiled two of them so far. The first one is Rose, an absolute badass armed with her katana and a pistol. And the other is Juno, a scrappy fighter with an enigmatic background.

New characters and loot aside, Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption also brings a new hoverbike called the “Jetbeast.” According to Gearbox Creative Director Matt Cox:
“Every Western needs its horse. For the Vault Hunter, it’s the Jetbeast, which is half jetbike, and half creature.”
Players will be able to outfit the “Jetbeast” with a variety of weapons, including mortars and machine guns.
Borderlands 3—a fine installment to the legendary franchise
The first-person loot-based action RPG made its debut on September 13, 2019, on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, with a Stadia port following three months after.
The game was developed by Gearbox Software and was a sequel to the spectacular Borderlands 2, which was released back in 2012.
Borderlands 3 received favorable reviews from both critics and fans on account of the way it improved upon its predecessors yet preserved the series’ trademark flair. The guns are plentiful, the characters are zany and memorable, and the gameplay mechanics have been refined.

One common criticism among gamers is the bullet-sponge bosses that require less in the way of strategizing and more in the way of shooting them for extended periods of time until they drop dead.
Borderlands 3’s Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption DLC is expected to release on June 25, 2020.
