Epic Games Store just revealed its third free title fully confirming the previous leak, and it is indeed Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
The thrill of Epic Games Store’s free game event, in line with its Mega Sale, went from figuring out what the next title will be to will it be what the leak said it will be.
Ever since the Reddit rumor leaked the alleged list of the games following Rockstar Games’ GTA 5, game enthusiasts have been sitting on the edge of their seats, waiting for it to be it true.
Indeed enough, as the clock struck 11 today, May 28—a Thursday, we all saw Epic Games Store unveil Borderlands: The Handsome Collection as its newest free-to-keep title.
???? HEY THERE, HANDSOME! ????

Another Twitter slip-up
Although, another slip-up did happen over at Twitter. Comicbook reported that a day before the unveiling, the official Twitter account of the Epic Games Store posted a tweet saying, “Get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection free on PC until June 4. Yours to keep forever on the Epic Games Store. #EpicMegaSale”
Similar to the first slip-up, the tweet has since been deleted.
Micky News previously weighed in the likelihood of Epic Games truly giving out Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The two-game collection has been sold for a very low price for a while now, which basically serves as a freebie, so it was indeed bound to be given as free-to-keep.
Nevertheless, this game collection is a top tier title, and many have been anticipating for its free release on the Epic Games Store.
The wait is finally over, and all everyone has to do is to claim the game on the website, enable the two-factor authentication setting, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is theirs to keep forever.
As previously reported as well, the collection includes Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, and all of its DLCs. Basically, everyone is getting two games for the price of none.
The next two titles
The previously doubted leak now holds legitimacy, therefore, we are left to expect ARK: Survival Evolved next Thursday.
It is a 2015 action-adventure survival video game developed by Studio Wildcard. Like all the other titles that Epic Games has been releasing lately, the game was well-received upon release.
Meanwhile, Epic Games will end the 2020 Mega Sale with a bang as its last free game drop is actually part of a collection launch. The Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection—which just released its trailer—will be initially released on the Epic Game Store on June 11 for free, and will be up for grabs for seven days.
