Boruto Episode 217 is looking to end the biggest battle in both the anime and manga series to date, hinting at the end of the Kara Arc.
Jigen, whose body is being taken over by Isshiki, aims to take Kawaki’s body after successfully defeating Kashin Koji. But with Naruto, Sasuke and Boruto standing in his way, can he make it in Boruto Episode 217?
The Fight Against Jigen
The anime series’ writer Honda Masaya hint that the end of Kara Arc is near. As this storyline is one of the best parts of the manga series, he also teases it to uphold the source material’s high quality.
“I’m in charge of the script for BORUTO episodes 216 to 218. This is the climax of KARA Arc,” he said. “Our goal was to create a story that even those who had read the original story would enjoy.”
According to Comicbook, the Kara Arc conclusion will see the strongest warriors of Konoha face Jigen in an intense battle.
They will leave everything on the table to battle Isshiki’s vessel that will eventually change the tide of the game.
In the upcoming Boruto Episode 217, titled “Decision,” Naruto and Sasuke will be cornered by Isshiki in a fierce fight.
“In order to overcome the situation, Bolt also tried to bargain for death, but failed,” the official synopsis read. “It seemed that there was no way to do it anymore.”
Naruto will be standing up with a terrible chakra. The nine-tailed beast Kurama will reveal the Shinobi is the “ultimate inner hand” and will gain great power.
However, he has a price to pay. From here, Naruto will start his counterattack against Isshiki.
“Overwhelming Isshiki, the situation is greatly reversed,” the synopsis continued. “However, from Isshiki’s strategy when he noticed something at the last minute, Kawaki who should have been in Konohagakure’s village on the spot.”

Episode 216 Recap
In Boruto Episode 216, Isshiki used Jigen’s Karma to resurrect, which also deleted others’ Karma.
This just meant Kawaki was no longer a vessel. From here, Kawaki realized the reason Isshiki came to the village.
He might want to plant a new Karma in him to continuously have control of his body, per OtakuKart News. Shikamaru knew it was Isshiki’s intention all along, making Kawaki felt like he was not free at all.
Sumire consoled Kawaki, telling him not to worry as Naruto and others were doing everything to stop Isshiki.
Back to the battlefield, Naruto and Sasaki managed to corner Isshiki. Though the latter used the block to stop them, it only destroyed Naruto’s clone.
Naruto then formed a pact with Kurama and saved Boruto before he even got killed.
Boruto Episode 217 is set to be out on Sunday, Sept. 26.
