Fans did not see Boruto Episode 231 over the weekend, making them wonder what made the series delayed.
The holidays have just ended and it is said to be why Boruto Episode 231 was not seen last Sunday. It has been a common practice in Japan to take a short break to celebrate the big event during the New Year.
The short hiatus, spoilers and more
According to Epic Stream, this short hiatus is not new to anime shows. A lot of anime series have been delayed due to this event to let the people behind the scenes celebrate.
In fact, aside from Boruto, One Piece and 86 Eighty-Six were also postponed.
So, what will happen to the series when it returns? The franchise has officially dropped the trailer for Boruto Episode 231.
Titled “The Rusty Sword,” it will feature Team 15, trying to arrest a group of thieves. However, fans need to see if they can try to do so, seeing one of them is a strong Samurai warrior.
In addition, the new episode will also unveil the series’ new opening and ending, per HITC.

Episode 230 recap
Meanwhile, in Boruto Episode 230, Kawaki and Team were tasked to escort Mozuki to deliver medical herb to his village. He also needed to meet with Assassination Shinobi, OtakuKart News cited.
Along the way, they had to deal with Juju. Fortunately, they managed to break the barrier he created.
Sadly, Chocho got hurt. Kawaki suggested leaving the injured comrade to follow the Shinobi guy with the medical herb. So, Kawaki and Mozuki followed the guy.
Elsewhere, Lord Seventh, Shikamaru and Konohamaru talked about the mysterious Shinobi incident.
They knew the same boys were from the village and got involved in the same incident. So, Shikamaru believed they were the same Shinobis who killed the boys.
With that being said, they had to deal with these individuals.
Naruto believed the enemies had targeted Kawaki and others who had escorted Mozuki. So, he asked Konohamaru to send the reinforcement to help Kawaki, knowing Mozuki might be the next target.
Konohamaru send another Leaf Shinobi to inform Team 7 about it. The group had already completed their mission at the forest, and the cows’ owner thanked Mitsuku for delivering the animals safely.
Mitsuku then wanted to meet with Boruto and others, but he encountered the Leaf Shinobi instead.
When he saw the report, he realized the Shinobis were up to something not good. What could it be?
