‘Boruto’ series reveals Code as the next major villain after Isshiki Otsutsuki

After the end of a massive fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, it seems that things are still far from over.

Boruto is already setting the next major villain!

Things seemed to have finally settled after the fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki. This was when Kawaki woke Boruto out of his possession from Momoshiki Otsutsuki.

However, the anime’s newest chapter heralded the next big battle to reveal the next major villain. This is along with the remnants of Kara now making their move.

The new major villain

The members of Kara have been introduced in the anime adaptation of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Since Code has been handled differently in the manga, he sticks out immediately.

Through the entire Kawaki saga, the character has been hanging on the back burner. It seems like the reason behind that was because Code is about to take center stage as the main antagonist.

The Chapter 55 kick-off breaks down the immediate fallout of the fight with Isshiki and Momoshiki. Code is also revealed to be the one assigned to monitor the currently brewing Ten-Tails.

As also revealed, he was supposed to be a vessel too, but Kawaki ended up taking his place in line. An unfinished and white version of the Karma mark was left in Code because of it, and now, it wants to become an official vessel.

Code to take the place of Isshiki

Moreover, Isshiki’s soul soon appears from Code’s Karma and gives him the next mission. Code is tasked with feeding Kawaki or Boruto to the Ten-Tails to form the Divine Tree as he will be taking his place as the inheritor of Isshiki’s will. He was told to become a full Otsutsuki himself and eventually become a god by eating the rest of the universe.

However, it was said that Code wants to take revenge on those who killed his god rather than want to become one himself. But that is what Isshiki will get from Code if that’s what he wants.
