Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have allegedly already spent over a million dollars each in their ongoing divorce trial.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separated in 2016, but their divorce and custody battle has not been finalized yet. Their messy divorce has become one of the most expensive divorce cases in Hollywood in terms of legal fees, Pinkvilla reported.
Brad Pitt and Angelina already spent millions in divorce rumor
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were among the A-list Hollywood celebrity couples when they were still together. The pair parted ways in 2016, but almost five years later, their legal battle continues.
L.A. divorce attorney Kelly Chang Rickert shared some details about Brangelina’s divorce battles. The expert believed that each of them has already spent at least one million.
“I think this could become one of the most expensive divorce cases in Hollywood history in terms of legal fees,” she told Daily Mail.
Rickert pointed out the duration of their divorce, which has lasted for over four years already, making it one of the longest celebrity cases she has ever seen. She’s convinced that each of them has already spent over $1 million because they are both employing very reputable attorneys. Jolie has even gone through several legal counsels.
According to Rickert, the hourly rates may range between $1,000 to $1,500, and the lawyers may be billing 40 or 50 hours a week at times. Also, they have hired a private judge who probably bills them around $900 to $1000 an hour. The private lawyer alone is probably costing them $10,000 a day.
She estimated that in a five-day trial, the judge would probably take $50,000 upfront and another $10,000 review paperwork beforehand. Rickert estimated that they had paid the judge close to half a million dollars between them.
Brangelina legal battle update
Angelina Jolie filed new documents about her domestic abuse allegation against Brad Pitt. In the court papers, Jolie said she and her six children are willing to provide proof and authority against the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star.
Jolie and Pitt’s eldest son, Maddox, had reportedly already testified. His testimony was allegedly not flattering for Pitt.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston was allegedly supportive of her ex-husband. An anonymous source claimed that as soon as the accusations about domestic violence against Pitt went public, The Morning Show star immediately called Pitt.
“She wanted to let him know she would be there for him, no matter what, and she’s told him again that she’ll appear in court if she has to, although she knows it would never come to that,” the anonymous tipster said.
However, one should take the report about Pitt and Aniston with a grain of salt. The exes remain good friends, but they never reconciled, and there is not enough proof about Aniston’s phone call to Pitt regarding his legal battle against Angelina Jolie.
