Brad Pitt is, allegedly, aware that Angelina Jolie is strapped for cash, but he still refuses to allow his ex-wife to sell her share on Chateau Miraval.
According to National Enquirer, Jolie is furious with Brad Pitt for making the entire process even more difficult than it should be.
“Angelina is frantic for cash. She hasn’t banked anywhere near enough to support her lifestyle in the past few years and she’s also taken earnings hit from the pandemic. Her next film The Eternals has been pushed back, which is bound to have delayed some paychecks,” the source said.
Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of preventing her from selling her share
In her court documents, Jolie revealed that she wanted to sell her share of Miraval, but Pitt prevented her from doing so.
As such, there’s, allegedly, an automatic temporary restraining order on their finances involved in the divorce. And the only way for Jolie to be able to sell her share is if a judge would lift the ATRO.
Brad Pitt gets his revenge on Angelina Jolie
So, for now, Pitt is, allegedly, playing hardball. And he sees this as his way of getting revenge on Jolie.
“After Angie’s smear campaigns and legal maneuvers, there’s no way he’s playing into her hands. He’s worth $300 million and not hurting for cash, so he can afford to drag it out. Besides that, he’s not eager to sell Miraval,” the source said.
Since winemaking is one of the actor’s passions, he wants to continue producing the tastiest wines from his vineyard.
For Jolie’s part, the mom of six is, allegedly, trying to target her ex-husband where it would hurt.
“Since he added to his fortune while they were together, Angie wants a good chunk of that and she’s going after it. But Brad’s not giving in,” the source said.
Rumors debunked
While it is true that Pitt and Jolie haven’t reached an agreement when it comes to Miraval, it is not true that the former is trying to get his revenge on the latter.
It is also possible that Brad Pitt and Jolie need to iron out a lot of details first before the latter could sell her share.
