Brad Pitt fighting for equal joint custody, believes he could workout an agreement with Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt fighting for equal joint custody, believes he could workout an agreement with Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie haven’t reached a custody agreement six years after the latter filed for divorce.

This week, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Brad Pitt believes that he could work out an agreement with his ex-wife. After all, they only want what’s best for their children.

Brad Pitt wants equal custody over his kids

One of the things that Pitt will be fighting for when he faces Jolie in court is the equal joint custody of their children.

“Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place. Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting,” a source said.

The insider also said that Pitt has tried his best to be respectful of Jolie’s parenting. However, this doesn’t mean that he agrees with all of Jolie’s techniques.

Still, the Ad Astra actor knows that Jolie loves their kids and wants what’s best for them. But Pitt is also aware that his kids need his love and presence in their lives.

If it were up to Pitt, he wouldn’t want their issues to make it to the court. But the source said that Pitt feels he’s done everything that he can but he’s still left with no other choice.

But at the end of the day, Brad Pitt wants to make sure that his kids wouldn’t have to worry about his and Jolie’s current situation. He doesn’t also want his kids to feel that they are caught in the middle.

“This is a challenge because of their age, but he’s doing what he can. Brad has avoided this court scenario for years, and the last thing he would ever want is for this to have a negative outcome for everyone. his is about getting his time with the children,” the source said.

Angelina Jolie failed to have the judge removed from her case

In June, another source said that Pitt and Jolie are in a much better place in their relationship. In fact, Pitt had been visiting his kids at Jolie’s home regularly.

But two months later, Jolie tried to have Judge John W. Ouderkirk removed from the custody case. And this sparked another feud between her and Pitt.

Ahead of Monday’s hearing, it was revealed that Jolie’s attempts to have Ouderkirk removed weren’t successful. As such, she and Brad Pitt would come face to face with the judge this week.
