Brad Pitt more content after winning joint custody against Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt is reportedly more contented after the judge granted his request to have joint custody of his children with ex Angelina Jolie.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split in 2016, but their legal battle over their children’s custody only ended last month. The judge favored Pitt and granted him joint custody, which reportedly made him feel “over the moon,” according to a report.

Brad Pitt over the moon after joint custody battle

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s lengthy court battle over their children’s custody ended last month. Judge John Ouderkirk granted Pitt joint custody of their children, BBC reported.

The ruling would “significantly increase” Pitt’s time to be with his children. Pitt and Jolie share six kids Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14 and 12-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. However, their oldest child, Maddox, is not subjected to the custody decision.

Pitt was overjoyed with the judge’s decision.

According to an insider, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star is “over the moon.” He reportedly wanted to have a fresh start with his kids.

Pitt also reportedly felt that he finally got a fair chance in his years-long court battle with Angelina Jolie over their children. The unnamed insider said, Pitt only wanted to have a “fair shot” when it comes to their kids.

“Brad is more content today than he’s ever been,” the insider added.

Angelina’s response to the judge’s decision

Angelina Jolie did not object after the judge granted Brad Pitt joint custody. However, there were “other issues of concern” it reported.

The Maleficent star was upset when the judge decided to not allow their kids to testify in court. In March, Jolie submitted a document saying that her children were willing to provide “proof and authority in support” of her claims against Brad Pitt. However, Judge Ouderkirk denied her request.

Jolie was fine sharing custody with Pitt. However, she was happy that the kids were not allowed to testify after submitting alleged evidence of domestic abuse.

According to an insider, the heart of the dispute was not for Jolie to keep her children apart from their dad. She never wanted to deny their kids a relationship with their dad.

The insider went on and said the “system is at fault.” Jolie is focused on fighting a system that does not take into account the full set of issues that affect her family and she’s working hard so other families won’t experience the same.
