Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of musical comedy series Glee, has teased a potential reboot featuring famous stars.
Fox musical comedy-drama Glee has proved its success in the entertainment industry in a span of 6 years. It has secured a total of 6 seasons from its pilot premiere on May 19, 2009, to March 20, 2015.
The show’s fans have not heard from the cast and creators until recently. Needless to say, the 5-year wait is worth it as the news revealed by the showrunner will absolutely make the series’ devotees thrilled.
Ryan Murphy reveals dream cast for Glee reboot
Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the American television series Glee has teased a potential reboot for the well-known show. Murphy posted on Instagram faces photoshopped over an original Glee cast photo.
Brad Pitt was tapped to play glee club director Will Schuester, while Margot Robbie was picked as Quinn Fabray. Little Women stars Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet were chosen to portray Rachel and jock Finn respectively. On the other hand, Florence Pugh would be cheerleader Brittany Pierce, with Zendaya playing fellow cheerleader Mercedes.
Moreover, as shown in the photo, Charles Melton, Emma Stone, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Ansel Elgort, and Laura Harrier will also take part in the reboot envisioned by Murphy.

Showrunner reveals pilot storyline
The good news doesn’t stop there either as the showrunner has already reimagined the script for his show. He further revealed the details of a revamped pilot episode. On another Instagram post featuring a Glee poster, Murphy unveiled that he wants Ben Platt, Beanie Felds, and original star of the show, Lea Michele to lead the cast for the reimagined show.
Murphy further shared in his caption,
“Lea and Ben are frenemies who fight for the heart and soul of Glee Club. Ben is also on the football team, and pretty much sleeps with the entire school and is the heartthrob of McKinley. Beanie is their mutual best friend, and torn. Suddenly, Beanie joins forces with Sue Sylvester, joins Glee Club and becomes the main soloist and the ruthless star of the club. Lea and Ben have to then join forces to dethrone her.”
The showrunner ended his caption by expressing his strong desire to shoot the do-over pilot. As of press time, Murphy has not yet disclosed any further details about the potential revised pilot production.

Glee original plot
Glee revolves around a group of ambitious misfits who tried to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club. The students not only competed to win the Nationals but dealt with the tough and cruel dilemmas of their school, McKinley High. The show featured a mix of nerds, cheerleaders, as well as athletes.
