The up-and-coming actress Joey King is about to work with the Hollywood A-lister, Brad Pitt.
Deadline reported Joey King is now in talks to join Brad Pitt in his upcoming movie, Bullet Train. Fans will see a different King this time, after seeing her as the sweet Elle Vans on Netflix’s Kissing Booth and Gypsy Blanchard on Hulu’s The Act.
King, Pitt’s upcoming movie roles
Sony Pictures is about to make a movie adaptation of Kotaro Isaka’s Japanese novel, Maria Beetle. It follows the story of five assassins who are onboard a high-tech, fast-moving train while in their missions.
They will then soon learn that their assignments have something in common. Out of the five assassins, King and Pitt are set to play the role of the two hitmen.
Surely, Angelina Jolie’s former husband will play the titular role, named Ladybug. However, Daily Mail noted it remains to be seen if the 21-year-old actress will be fully featured or will just have a cameo appearance.

Brad Pitt, King’s professional careers
Bullet Train will be Pitt’s first acting job after the successful Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, which earned him an Oscar award for Best Supporting Actor. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, his professional career is soaring high after he got a Primetime Emmy nomination for impersonating Dr. Anthony Fauci on Saturday Night Live.
King, alternatively, has nabbed an Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role in the critically-acclaimed Hulu limited series, The Act, and the rom-com franchise The Kissing Booth.
After the success of the Netflix series’ first season, the streaming giant recently dropped its second installment, which continuously receives a great response. Its massive success resulted in the making of Kissing Booth 3.
Bullet Train update and other details
Bullet Train aims to start its production in Los Angeles this fall, but it still depends on the when and how the filming will begin as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grapple the country. Daily Mail reported California remains to have the most confirmed cases of the virus.
Zak Olkewicz, who worked for the movie Fear Street, would be writing Bullet Train’s screenplay. Leitch and Kelly McCormick, who were behind Atomic Blonde, would be producing the film through their company 87North, along with the help of Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick, The Wrap noted.
Also, Brittany Morrissey will be overseeing the project for Sony Pictures.
The upcoming Brad Pitt and Joey King movie, Bullet Train, is described to be like the movies Speed and Non-Stop.
